- Every 5-6 weeks it is a good idea to clean your heat pump filters, this might involve vacuuming them or rinsing them off with a hose in the garden.
- Ensure there is nothing trapped in your louvres.
- Ensure nothing is impeding your indoor unit airflow such as a bookcase, chair or sofa.
- Ensure nothing is blocking your outdoor unit airflow such as leaves, bushes and debris.
- Get a professional annual service, check and clean of your complete heat pump system.
- A professional service includes checking that the system is working mechanically and electronically well, checking and cleaning filters, searching for faults, flushing drain pans and coils, checking fan motors, checking operating temperatures and pressures, checking pipework and insulation and cleaning the system.
