These guides cover the essential functions so you can start enjoying optimal comfort right away!
Getting Started: Basic Functions
Your Mitsubishi Electric remote may look slightly different depending on the model, but the core functions are the same. For full details, always refer to your specific user manual.
Turning Your Heat Pump On/Off
Press the ON/OFF button (usually orange) to start or stop your heat pump.
Selecting Operation Modes
Your heat pump offers several modes:
- Heating Mode (sun symbol): For cosy warmth in winter.
- Cooling Mode (snowflake symbol): Keeps you cool in summer.
- Dry Mode: Reduces humidity without changing the temperature much.
- Fan Mode: Circulates air without heating or cooling.
- Auto Mode (on some models): The unit automatically selects heating or cooling as needed.
Press the MODE button to cycle through these options. The current mode is shown on the remote’s display.

Setting The Temperature
- Use the up and down arrows to adjust your desired temperature.
- Optimum Heating: 18–22°C (22°C for a warmer feel).
- Optimum Cooling: 18–20°C for comfortable summer conditions.
Tip:
Setting a higher temperature won’t heat your room faster-instead, it makes the unit work harder and uses more power! For best results, keep curtains closed in heating mode to retain warmth.
Fan Speed & Airflow Direction
- Fan Speed: Press the FAN button to choose your preferred speed. Lower speeds are gentler and quieter; higher speeds heat or cool more quickly.
- Auto Fan: Automatically adjusts speed for efficiency.
- Airflow Direction: Use the VANE button to direct air up or down. In heating mode, aim airflow downward; in cooling mode, aim upward. The AUTO setting lets the unit decide the most efficient direction.

Timer Functions
Want your heat pump to switch on or off at specific times? Use the timer function. Refer to your model’s guide for step-by-step instructions on setting daily or weekly timers
